Science & Memory
Science and Memory is a multiyear journalism project that explores the way a community that’s closely connected to a commercially valuable natural resource thinks and talks about the change in the system. From that communication, we seek to connect with networked audiences more broadly with regard to climate change science and policy. Science and Memory is a collaboration of four faculty members – Deb Morrison, Dan Morrison, Torsten Kjellstrand and myself – who work with students in Cordova, Alaska, and in Oregon to explore these issues. In 2015, we won the 2015 Innovation and Impact award from the University of Oregon for the Science and Memory project.
